About this course

Learn how to preview, lead, and close chants with learners using existing and modified chants.

  • Workshop Overview

The rhythm of English is central not only to being understood, but to being accepted by the listener. Rhythm instruction should be integrated into daily instruction in ways that remain simple and sustainable for the teacher. Creating rhythmic chants and being able to lead them are essential skills for the teacher.

Participants will need a Color Vowel® Chart poster and a set of Color Vowel Image Cards. (Visit our online Shop to order materials.)

  • Prerequisites

This Level 2 course is open to Color Vowel® Level 1 Trained Teachers or teachers taking a Color Vowel® Level 1 Practicum course currently or synchronously.

  • Auditing Option

Anyone who has previously taken a Rhythm & Chants course with ELTS may audit this course. Auditors may attend live or asynchronously; however, attending the live Zoom sessions will provide a more robust and useful experience. Auditors do not receive feedback on completed assignments.

    Spaces are limited.
